Saginaw schools take a step toward health

The Saginaw City Schools have been selected to participate in a national Healthy School Program with several other schools in the Bendle Public School District. The Healthy School Program will provide “hands-on support” to schools in their efforts to implement a district Wellness Policy and create a healthy school environment. Spearheaded by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a joint venture between the American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation, the purpose of the program is to prevent childhood obesity and promote a healthy lifestyle.
